Tracy Hom is a Partner in our San Francisco office. Her tax practice is focused on providing tax consulting and compliance services to high net worth individuals and their related entities including trusts, partnerships and closely held businesses. In particular, Tracy has extensive experience in working with clients involved in all aspects of venture capital and private equity from investors to fund managers as well as their related entities.
“Our clients are often busy individuals juggling multiple issues and tasks at any given time,” she explains. “My goal is to give clients the confidence and freedom to focus on their individual endeavors with the knowledge that they have a trusted advisor who will work to really understand their needs and goals so that we can effectively provide proactive tax planning and timely compliance on their behalf.”
Tracy works to provide a comprehensive, thoughtful and personalized approach to her client’s tax and financial situations. As an advisor to various family members, Tracy has assisted in planning, implementing and maintaining complex estate planning strategies as well as analyzing the tax and financial implications of various business deal scenarios.
Tracy is a second generation accountant, following in the footsteps of her father who worked in the governmental arena for over 30 years before retiring. She started in public accounting immediately after graduating in 2000 from the University of California, Los Angeles and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in 2003. In addition, Tracy earned her Masters of Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2010.
Before embarking on her extraordinary career in public accounting, Jill Lervold spent over a year traveling the world, where she gained a genuine appreciation for diverse cultures and businesses. “While traveling, I was able to interact with people from varied cultures and backgrounds. I loved meeting and getting to know people, and I believe that everyone is unique and special.” To this day, Jill approaches her clientele in the same way, offering services that are specifically tailored to their needs as unique individuals and businesses facing the challenges of working in a global community.
Jill graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, East Bay. Since then, she has spent over twenty-five years in public accounting providing technical tax consulting and compliance services to high net worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations. She has extensive experience with professional service companies, including legal firms, private equity entities, and venture capital funds. Jill has also provided accurate and timely compliance services for family groups, high growth companies, and businesses in bankruptcy with multi-state and multi-national operations. Jill works closely with her clients’ financial advisors and attorneys to develop and implement strategic plans that minimize income and estate taxes.
Prior to joining the Realize team, Jill worked for Arthur Andersen & Co. Following her employment at Arthur Andersen & Co., Jill became the partner in charge at the San Francisco office of Frank, Rimmerman & Co.
Kyle M. Vineyard
Kyle Vineyard is a Partner in our San Francisco and Nevada offices. Kyle specializes in tax issues related to high net worth individuals, closely held businesses, and multi-generational family groups. His primary expertise is in complex estate planning. Kyle works closely with clients’ advisors to plan the most cohesive and comprehensive strategies.

Kyle’s first exposure to accounting came while he was a student at the California State Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo and he entered the profession immediately after graduating in 1999. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 2003.
Prior to beginning a public accounting career in 2003, Greg was a professional chef and co/owner of a catering company, where he learned the complexities of running a business. In public accounting, he spends his time providing comprehensive tax consulting and compliance services for business entities and their owners, working with them to integrate their business objectives with their personal goals and achieve the optimal tax results.
Greg has extensive experience with financial services and real estate taxation at both the fund and individual investor level. He has a broad range of clients, including venture capitalists, attorneys, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, philanthropists and families with multi-generational wealth.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys cooking, camping, skiing and spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys volunteering at his daughters’ schools and is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Taxation.
Minerva M. Tottie
Minerva Tottie is a Partner at Realize. She has over fourteen years of experience providing tax consulting, planning, and compliance services for high net worth individuals, partnerships, trusts, and closely held businesses.
Minerva’s individual clients include start-up entrepreneurs, private equity and hedge fund partners, corporate executives, and multi-generational families. Her experience also includes fiduciary accounting.

Prior to joining Realize in 2006, Minerva worked in the semiconductor industry as a Financial Analyst.
She is a Bay Area native and her hobbies and interests include spending time with her family, reading fiction, and tending to her garden.
Eric is a Partner at Realize. Eric’s experience includes planning, consulting, and compliance services for high-net worth individuals, family partnerships, closely-held businesses, trusts and non-profit entities. In his time with Realize, Eric has had the opportunity to work closely with several of the firms multi-generational family clients. In doing so, he has gained a keen understanding of the complex planning tools available to this type of client and has enjoyed working closely with the families to determine what their goals are for future generations and how the Realize team can help to facilitate them.

Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Eric worked full-time at a technology start up as a Junior Staff Accountant while completing his college coursework. He is currently working towards a Masters of Taxation at Golden Gate University.
Outside of the office, Eric enjoys photography, hiking, cooking and trying out new restaurants. Recently, he is combining these interests with his interest in traveling by planning and enjoying several scenic trips around California. In the future, he is looking forward to traveling to Europe and indulging his love of history.
Stephen is a Partner at Realize. His experience consists of tax consulting and compliance services for high-net worth individuals, trusts, partnerships and closely held business. Stephen works closely with his clients to ensure that he understands their goal and needs.
Prior to joining Realize in 2010, Stephen graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Stephen received his in CPA license in 2012 and is now enrolled at Golden Gate University working towards his Masters in Taxation.
In his spare time, Stephen enjoys working on his 1966 Ford Mustang, spending summers boating on the lake, and trying out new wineries near his home in the Livermore Valley.
Mark Eichstaedt started in the accounting profession with the idea of learning about the inside of the business world. After a couple of years in public accounting, Mark discovered that he was interested in pursuing the profession as a career. Since 1972, he’s been providing tax, consulting and audit services to individuals and closely held businesses.
“I’ve stayed in accounting for a couple of reasons,” he explains. “First is the client service aspect of the business. I get to solve problems and there is a lot of personal satisfaction in doing that. Second, I get to work collaboratively with the bright ambitious people who are our clients and that is very stimulating.” More than that, Mark has built personal relationships with many of his clients. “I’ve worked with some of our clients for 30 or more years and because of that they are like extended family,” he reports. “We know our clients are going to be impacted by the decisions that are being made and we want the best possible outcome for them.”
“It feels really rewarding to be of service to the individual or to the family in a way that other people can’t, because we as a firm have a history with them,” he continues. “Clients know that they can count on us.”
Mark is a 1971 graduate of Ohio State University. After receiving a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration degree, he went on to earn a Masters of Business Administration degree at Northwestern University in Illinois and then a Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1975.

Client Accounting Services Supervisor
Ali Abedi is a Client Accounting Services Supervisor at Realize. Ali received his Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from St. Mary’s College in India. Prior to joining the firm in 2022, Ali worked as an accountant at a cyber securities company where he was responsible for ensuring the day-to-day accuracy and completeness of financial information.
Ali has extensive working experience in all aspects of accounting and has worked in different-sized companies, ranging from start-ups to large enterprises and in various industries, predominantly in real estate and construction.
Ali has had the opportunity to build relationships with clients and colleagues, and he believes that one of the most important rules for the success of an organization is to always keep the clients happy.
Ali has lived in two other countries – The United Kingdom and India. Ali enjoys traveling, watching TV shows, and eating out at restaurants with friends and family. He is a huge soccer fan and an avid Chelsea FC supporter. Go Blues!
Senior Tax Manager
Chris Pollitt is a senior tax manager at Realize. Chris’ focus is tax consulting and compliance for high net-worth individuals and their related entities. Her clientele are high net worth families, partnerships, and foundations. Chris enjoys training and mentoring the staff at Realize in these respective areas of expertise. She is committed to providing the staff with the tools they need to succeed.

Chris lives in Idaho with her husband, Kevin. They enjoy hiking scenic trails, sampling organic fruit and vegetables at the local farmers markets, and spending time with their children, Vanessa and Josh, and their large extended family.
Chris Mathewson is a Manager at Realize. Chris originally joined the firm in 2006 and stayed through 2014. Chris returned to Realize in 2020 after working with regional firms throughout Marin County. Prior to joining Realize in 2006, Chris held various positions with Marriott International. His time there built a foundation for his strong belief in providing outstanding client service to every client. With many years of experience advising high net worth families, partnerships, and foundations, Chris enjoys training and mentoring the staff at Realize in these respective areas of expertise and is committed to providing the staff with the tools they need to succeed.

Kevin Pimentel is a Tax Manager at Realize. Prior to joining the firm in 2020, Kevin worked at local CPA firms in Santa Barbara and Orange County, where he developed expertise in tax issues related to real estate, high net worth individuals, and closely held businesses. Kevin is also well-versed in multi-state compliance and tax research.
As a tax manager with Realize CPA, he uses his business acumen and organizational skills to enhance the client experience and ensure tax planning is smooth from start to file. When not serving clients, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and getting out in nature.
Cindy is a Manager at Realize. Cindy has over eight years of experience assisting clients with their accounting, tax, and consulting needs. Prior to joining Realize, Cindy was a tax senior at a Big Four firm, and most recently, a tax manager at a national wealth advisory firm.
Cindy works with clients to help them achieve their goals through comprehensive tax planning. She provides tax compliance and consulting services to senior executives, high net-worth individuals, their families as well as their closely held businesses.
In her spare time, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, international traveling, and trying out new restaurants with her friends.
David Wu is a Tax Manager at Realize. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, David worked in the technology and graphic design industries. During his tenure at Realize, David has had the opportunity to work on tax planning & compliance services for individuals, family groups and their related entities (trusts, partnerships, closely-held businesses and non-profit entities).
Outside the office, David is a music enthusiast who knows how to play 6 different instruments (piano, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, ukulele and the kazoo) and has a growing music collection that is perfectly categorized with album art. David also keeps busy with his two daughters (Tess and Mira) and knows how to play all of Disney’s Frozen songs for them.
Senior Tax Manager
Patrick Townsend is a Senior Tax Manager at Realize. Patrick provides planning, consulting, and compliance services for high net worth individuals, family partnerships, operating entities, closely-held businesses, and trusts. In his experience at Realize and at his prior firm, Patrick has had the opportunity to work with a wide array of businesses, successful entrepreneurs, and families holding dynastic wealth. With a keen understanding of the intricate planning needed for these clients, Patrick works closely with both business owners and families to navigate the complexities inherent to their financial circumstances.
Prior to joining Realize in 2018, Patrick worked in public accountancy in the Bay Area for the last 7 years, providing the same high level of service he does for our firm.
Patrick lives in San Francisco with his fiancée Hannah, and their dog, Archie. He enjoys world travel, weekend excursions in California, and crawfish boils.

Justin Stuhaan is a Client Accounting Services Manager at Realize. He focuses on high-net worth individuals and families, private foundations, and closely held businesses.
Since 1999, Justin has gained a wide variety of experience in both private industry and in public accounting. He started his career at Frank, Rimerman & Co. in their Accounting and CFO Advisory Services practice where he worked closely with early stage privately funded companies. Prior to joining Realize, he worked with numerous venture capital backed start-up companies in Silicon Valley.
Karolina Zeldag is a Tax Manager at Realize. Before embarking on her career in tax, she was an executive assistant and property manager at a prominent real estate investment firm. While working there, she learned to juggle complex projects while honing her client service skills. Karolina was captivated by the intricacy of tax work while assisting the firm’s Chief Financial Officer with entity return preparation. Prior to joining our team, Karolina worked as a member of the Private Client Service group at Binder Dijke Otte (BDO) USA, LP.

Sam Jue is a Manager at Realize. Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Sam worked as a financial consultant for a nonprofit organization that provides advisory services to small businesses. As an advisory specialist, Sam guided business owners toward becoming successful entrepreneurs. In addition to engaging in a variety of sports and fitness activities, Sam has recently taken a keen interest in the performing arts; he has honed his acting skills at the American Conservatory Theater by practicing mid-century cinematic acting techniques.
Brian Copeland is a Manager at Realize. Prior to joining Realize in 2015, Brian graduated magna cum laude with a business degree from California State University, East Bay with a focus in accounting and finance. He holds a current CPA license and is working toward obtaining a master’s degree in taxation.
In addition to his academic achievements, Brian has worked closely with his clients’ advisors to create cohesive, lasting relationships. Brian knows how to be effective and efficient by using his strengths to complement the strengths of others. Michelle Dunn is a Client Accounting Services Supervisor at Realize. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Michelle spent four years founding a small motorcycle service business in Oakland, and seven years in a technical support role. Michelle is currently working toward an Associate’s Degree in Accounting at City College of San Francisco. In her spare time, Michelle loves to knit and spend time with her dog and three cats.
